Open Burning is NOT Permitted in Otter Point effective June 1st, 2021

All Open Burning is Not permitted effective June 1st, 2021 in Otter Point. This includes all backyard (Class B) Fires and large (Class A) Machine built fires.

Camp Fires OK  with clean, split firewood only.

FIRE HAZARD RATING

 

Category 1 Campfires.   Effective at Noon August 28th, 2024.

The current provincial campfire prohibition will be rescinded.  No Permit required. Campfires need to be 0.5 metre high by 0.5 metre wide or smaller. 

Category 2 Fires (Class B) are OK. Fires burning debris in 1 pile smaller than 2 meters high by 3 meters wide.  Permit required till October 31st. 

Category 3 (Class A) Fires are Limited. Fires greater then Category 2 Permits required and a Mandatory site inspection. Contact the Fire Department to see if you qualify.
